weekend with Talking Heads

This weekend, cool to be the last October, it's good to stay home and enjoy a good movie. Because, as I said is the end of the month, may not have much money in the wallets. But it is worth investing a few dollars and bought for $ 20 a DVD released last year in the country to put a wave in the afternoon or evening. I'm talking about Talking Heads live in Rome. Recorded in 1980, the concert features the band of David Byrne at his best, introducing the album Remain in Light.
That album, also from 1980, was the turning point of the band, since it is the connector between postpunk and frenetic themes of his earlier productions, the most experimental and philosophical African Byrne. Over time these experiments would lead him to dissolve the band and get into the genre called WORLD MUSIC, cultivated also by Peter Gabriel and that is to find new music from the outer margins of the canon Western.
The Live in Rome are 11 hot issues in addition to the Talking Heads are some musicians brought by the man in the shadows since 1978, Brian Eno: Buster Jones, Steve Scales Burnie Worrell and Dolette MacDonald. Their unclassifiable sounds to reggae rhythms, a punk, African drums summer nights.
